NAZ PROJECT REPORT SUMMARY
Sexual Health Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviours among Black and Minority Ethnic Youth in London by Adrienne Testa and Dr Lester Coleman, Young People in Focus and NAZ Project London 2006
This report presents extensive findings from a highly influential two year study exploring the sexual health of young people from Black and Minority (BME) groups. Over 3000 young people took part in the survey. Ethnic variations in sexual health knowledge, attitudes and behaviours are reported (including variations in risky sexual behaviour). Practical information on young people's learning preferences (e.g. sexual health topics they want more information on) are also shown. Findings from 50 in-depth interviews among young BME people are also summarised including quotes from the young people themselves.
The report closes by providing numerous implications for practice and policy.

TRAINER'S MANUAL- UNDERSTANDING GENDER
Andrew Cummings, UK Youth
This training manual has been designed to provide trainers with all the materials they will need to deliver a two-day training course for those who work with young people, on the theme of understanding gender.
The manual provides the trainer with a detailed training programme, including numerous activities such as quizzes, discussion starters and games.
As well as forming part of the training programme for workers, many of these activities can then be used by the training participants in their work with young people. The manual also includes details about further useful resources such as websites and activity packs.

YOUNG PEOPLE AND SEXUAL EXPLOITATION
Jenny J. Pearce, Routledge, Taylor and Francis Group
NEW
The author draws on young people's voices to explore the difficulties that arise for researchers and for practitioners when working with sexually exploited young people. While child protection interventions must guide social work, she argues that other agencies such as health, education, housing and training each have a role to play in supporting a sexually exploited young person.
This book will be essential reading for anyone interested in preventing the sexual exploitation of children and young people. It will be particularly relevant for academics, students, practitioners and policymakers in the fields of social policy and social work, child and family work, child protection and youth work.
