This course explores the difficult topic of suicide and its impact on young people, their carers and practitioners. It aims to give practitioners confidence in dealing with an emotive and distressing issue and a greater understanding of young people and suicide prevention strategies.

The course covers:

• The context of youth suicide
• Feelings, facts and myths
• Current trends and information
• Recognising risk and warning signs
• What helps young people
