Young People and Self-Harm

More and more young people seem to be self-harming. This one-day course will consider what is happening. It will provide information about up-to-date research and separate fact from fiction. It is suitable for professionals in a wide range of settings who want to understand self-harm better in order to provide the most effective kind of support to the young people they work with.  

The course covers:

  • Young people’s perspectives
  • The latest research
  • Issues, causes, reasons
  • Risk factors
  • Strategies and techniques for working with young people
  • Issues for workers and agencies

Fees:
Statutory, independent and large voluntary organisations: £155
Individuals and small voluntary organisations: £125
Young People in Focus standard cancellation charges apply.
