How to Evaluate a Project
23 March 2011 (Manchester)
9 June 2011 (London)
Evaluation is an important part of all services, and government, local authorities and other relevant bodies often require evaluation evidence as a condition of future funding or commissioning.
This introductory course is aimed at anyone who works with young people and/or families, and who want to evaluate an initiative, a project, or a service and the course will take delegates through the evaluation process, in manageable stages and using everyday language.
The course will also focus on how you can embed evaluation into all your work, as well as evaluating specific projects or initiatives.
The course covers:
- What is it you want to evaluate?
- What’s the best way to design your evaluation, and who should you involve?
- What methods could you use in the evaluation? We’ll look at questionnaires, interviews, focus groups, and visual methods
- Training and supporting young people and service users to collect information in the evaluation
- How can you analyse the information you collect in the evaluation?
- Ways of disseminating and using evaluation findings.
Fees:
Statutory, independent and large voluntary organisations: £155
