Creative Techniques for Working with
Groups of Young People

This course focuses upon a number of creative techniques to use when working with groups of young people and considers group dynamics theory. It is suitable for any practitioners undertaking group work. It will provide workers who are new to group work with various techniques to use in their work and for more experienced workers it will be a chance to reflect upon and refresh their techniques. During the day, participants will have a chance to practise some of the techniques and begin to relate to their own work setting by starting to develop resources based on the techniques.
The course covers:
- Group dynamics theory
- Creative techniques
- Practising some group work approaches
- Working with groups using the written word, visuals, drama and physical activity
- Planning how to use the techniques in the work setting
Each participant will receive a copy of our publication Wavelength.

Statutory, independent and large voluntary organisations: £185
Individuals and small voluntary organisations: £155
